Language education model

Our task as a university unit is to provide a comprehensive program to develop and enhance the language skills of students and doctoral candidates to enable them to effectively communicate in a foreign language in real-life situations:

• studies and education
• internships abroad
• workplace environment

Among our students are those who:

• have an opportunity to go abroad as interns;
• attend lectures delivered in a foreign language;
• already belong to or are planning to join a university research group or other student organization;
• use professional and specialist literature in a foreign language;
• are planning to work in an international/multinational company with a foreign language as the main language of communication;
• are planning to work in a Polish company doing business or having business contacts abroad;
• are planning to seek a job in Poland but are preparing to go through the recruitment process in a foreign language;
• are planning to seek a job abroad;

Our students will need the language skills in order to:

• prepare and deliver presentations;
• actively participate in lectures, seminars, meetings and training sessions;
• prepare and submit reports;
• use professional and specialist literature;
• participate in the recruitment process;
• deal with a wide range of correspondence;
• maintain personal and telephone contacts with foreign partners;
• respond in typical everyday life situations;
