Polish Language Course for International Students – Academic Year 2026/2027

International students starting their studies at AGH University of Krakow are required to complete the Polish language course in accordance with Resolution No. 104/2025 of the AGH Senate of 26 November 2025.

Students are exempt from the Polish language course requirement only if they hold a state certificate confirming proficiency in Polish as a foreign language:

The certificate must be registered at the AGH Language Studies Department (Studium Języków Obcych) no later than the end of the first week of the first semester of studies. After this deadline, exemption from the course will not be possible.

Completion of a Polish school, passing the Polish language Matura exam, or other documents confirming knowledge of Polish do not replace the required certificate and do not constitute grounds for exemption from the course.
